About me

Dr. Uriel Rubin, Vitreo Retinal Surgeon, American Society of Retina Specialist Member.

Dr. Rubin Uriel achieved his medical degree at the CEMIC university institute in Buenos Aires in 2007. The following year he began his Ophthalmology Residency program at the German Hospital of Buenos Aires and completed 4 years including chief of residents. In 2014 he performed his first fellowship in medical retina at Queens’ university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. In 2017 he was selected from over 1500 applicants to train as a surgical retina fellowship in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Rubin diagnoses and treats several retina and vitreoretinal pathologies. His experience and surgical training supports him as a prestigious surgeon for severe retina conditions.

Your appointment is expected to last approximately 1-2 hours due to pupil dilation. Dilation can last from 4-6 hours after your appointment, therefore we recommend that you bring a driver or have an alternate mode of transportation to get home. Please bring sunglasses for your comfort. Please bring a list of current medications with you. If you are diabetic, please bring a snack and any medications along with you in case of increased waiting times. Dr. Rubin will spend the necessary time to answer all your concerns.
